  • I believe that the real

I believe that the real estate company has every right to take control of "their" info and try to monetize their info instead of 3rd party people making money off of OPI (other people's info). If Realogy and HomeServices realized this...they could wipe out Zillow, Trulia, Point 2 in one year. I used to work for a HomeServices firm and Saunders seems to be on track. My old firm despised when we did agent-to-agent referrals. They want to be in the loop. And partake in referral fees. Here's another bombshell: They provide free exchange email so that when the agent leaves (the company) they (HomeServices)have access to their contact database, etc. (true, true, true). HomeServices is too stodgy and old fashioned of a company to EVER become SEO savvy enough to do it. HS was at the forefront of the $295 processing fee hoopla as well. Someone took them to court and they had to change the "name" of the fee to "Flat Fee Commission." Just ask Jenny Pruitt about HS. Whew.

  • I strongly diasgree that

I strongly diasgree that real estate is a "relationship-based" business. Real estate is a commodity-based business. We sell homes. People don't buy our service, like say an attorney or a CPA. We are paid upon closing of a "thing" not at the end of a "service." We sell things. Without inventory are are out of business. I remember at the last RETECH South every social media bobble head was rambling on that Color, the app centered around pics and social media was going to be the next "golden nugget" to obtain clients and build/engage relationships. Inventory is key. I've never met a top producing agent that didn't have a huge cache of listings. If an agent doesn't list "inventory" I would be willing to bet that they aren't the mover and shaker in their area. "List to last." Remember that? List what, you ask? Property. Property = inventory. #justsayin Miami Beach Real Estate Resource
