With nearly 40 years of combined corporate sales and marketing experience in advertising it was not difficult to realize that real estate was were we felt that our personal goals, and skills would be best met.

Once we had made the decision to move out of the corporate world, commercial real estate was our first stop, sales and leasing. Wow, great experience! Then we expanded our knowledge with adding land sales. One of our largest listings was nearly 2000 acres of raw land zoned R1. We have had several “producing” farms listed as well.

Eventually we were listing high end residential homes. That was great until the market shift, time to shift with it.

In 2007, we enrolled in Short Sale training to become certified agents. 2 years ago, when the market was turning we could see what was on the horizon….

We have a successful team and know how to negotiate with the lenders to get the sale closed. Our life experiences have taught us many things and each day we try to implement those experiences while helping others survive this housing crisis.

We have published; Should I Short Sale My Home which is available on our website Free to Inman subscribers. http://shortsalesellit.com/?page_id=393

Please call us if you have any questions on the Short Sale Process. No false hope here...we speak the truth and will give you the information you need to make and educated decision.

It's certainly obvious that there is a problem with "Lack of Process" with lenders. Kris and I were asked the question: What is the most difficult situation you must overcome when selling a Short Sale...Our answer: LACK of PROCESS from lenders. We have closed over 30 short sales this year, with each sale getting more difficult to close due to the lack of response from lenders, and the demands from second lien holders being larger than what the first lien holder will allow. I agree with Galuppo, "It's not going to happen unless we change the very political system" I believe we all realize this is not a short term problem, our housing market has not yet seen rock bottom. I'm know I'm preaching to the choir here, but my passion won't allow me to not say it to who ever will listen...Prsident Obama, stop with all of the bank bail outs, the false hope of loan modifications (that are not of any help to most) DO Something to get these lenders in line. A Short Sale puts a homeowner back into the neighborhood, a foreclosure leads to more decline in neighborhood's. Our housing market is going to take time to recover, but without clear direction and a policy that lenders must adhere to this "recovery" can not start. I would be extremely interested in participating in any forums that pertain to helping develop a cohesive streamlined process that will help sellers, buyers and our country move into recovery in our housing market. • Marci, Your message is
    By Kris & Kim DarneyMarch 24, 2009 - 8:22am

Marci, Your message is articulate and accurate. We speak to many individuals every day that have hope. We have to educate them to "false" hope and that these reforms created by the United States government are voluntary to banks and loan servicers. In these times, banks that have already received "bailouts" are taking more monies from our government at the tune of $1000 per client or mortgage holder. Telling homeowners to send all their personal finances in to their "processors" with the hope of refinancing into a manageable payment. We speak to these individuals weeks and months later after their hopes have been crushed. They are distraught and skeptical. We can't blame them. Keep sharing your message. Educate people and give homeowners the truth that will provide real hope.
