If you read Fannie Mae's National Housing Survey one thing is certain. Home ownership is still the American dream. 72% of renters think home ownership is superior to renting and most people buy for non financial reasons. 69 % think now is a good time to buy. Rentals will not save the housing market.
If she is an agent for Pru Cal you couldn't tell it from her web site. She is holding herself out as a brokerage company and I believe she is violating association rules and probably the law.
