No I do not agree with FBSO on Realtor.com, MLS nor any other Realtor based website. I certainly think that negotiating an offer with a FSBO that they are less flexableas they were when they signed a listening agreement with a discount firm they did not want to pay for a Realtor service nor do they want to go down on price or really fix things when inspections are done. My experience out of the several times I have worked with FSBO and sold them have not been good. It seems that I have actually listed many homes for sellers when they spent all that money with FSBO upfront with no sell. It is all up to choice. I could do what FSBO does and take upfront fee's like a 1000.00 and give them the material to do all the work themselves. Wow if I do 10 a month that is 10k and no work. I would rather be poor I guess because I can't just stick a sign in the yard and walk away. I do feel however that as a realtor we do all the work and if it does not close we are out everything. I lost 10k last month on two deals because of a lender. Ugh.
I thought the article was a new and refreshing approach and it is so true. I usually get most of my listings but have to say I have expireds under my belt. I will include the topics in the article in my next listing presentation.I do believe the sellers would benifit from this.
