Lu is the co-founder of Agent Shield Technologies; an internet company specializing in developing technologies for the real estate industry. Our flagship product utilizes Web 2.0 technologies in the marketing of new developments and pre-construction properties.

We bridge the gap between Realtors and Developers. For the Realtor, we make it easier (and safer) to market and sell new/pre construction developments. Our patent pending technology allows a Realtor to utilize the development's official website as a marketing and leads generation tool.

For the Developer, we help them leverage the collective sales power of Realtors to accelerate the sales of their projects. Agent Shield provides an innovative, web 2.0 way to enhance a developer's Realtor participation and outreach strategies.

I personally feel that conversions are one of the most important statistic in understanding the effectiveness of your website. Google, through their goal tracking feature, has made conversion tracking really easy to implement and analyze. The way that we work with understanding conversion rate is to first define what is considered a “conversion”. For our clients, it’s usually filling out a contact form or reaching a certain page on their website. We then add the tracking code provided to us through the Goal feature in Google Analytics. That’s it. The data will start rolling in and you’ll start seeing the conversion rates calculated for you. It also shows you a funnel of what pages the user went through to reaching the conversion. This way, you can understand the navigational habits of your website and make adjustments as necessary. For those who are not familiar with Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/), it is a free statistics software provided by Google. It’s easy to set up, use and understand. It will provide you with an amazing amount of useful data about your websites.

Video, when well produced, is an excellent marketing tool. It's much easier to place high in the video search engines (that space has not been saturated yet) as opposed to the regular searches. Our clients have had good success in terms of generating new leads (and sales) from their video tours. Is video worth it? YES, if well produced. If you have a poorly created video, I would not suggest posting it ... it may discredit your professionalism and do more harm than good.
