Beginner blogger, closing attorney and broker. Trying to find the intersection where these three things can form the foundation for a brokerage model - the kind of model where owning a real estate company is profitable and worthwhile.
I did some strategic thinking with a logistics company on geofencing a few years ago and thought about the real estate implications but I don't clearly see the way the app would work yet - at least in a way that improves on current offerings. What is everyone using for storage and sharing digital files (from the company perspective) with your agents? Dropbox, drop.io, box.net?? I'm looking for a solution for my agents to upload files to me and we have 1 to 1 sharing on those docs, but I, the broker also have a global view of documents across all of my agents. And it would be great if I could annotate them with notes for missing signatures, etc. I've tried all the transaction management systems and always come away wanting. Great point Rob. Immediately I thought of a recent visitation that I attended for an acquaintance's deceased wife. There was a bulletin board on which friends and family members brought handwritten notes that the deceased had written them over the years. She was an avid writer of thank you notes and observations - it was truly something to see - and like you wrote - everyone treasured and kept them.
