Entrepreneur, inventor, and a patent holder. In the early 80's, Bloomfield founded a company which was the first in the industry to develop a transportable cellular phone. The first prototype was introduced at the CES show in Las Vegas in 1982.

Transportable cell phones, which were completely portable, were the precursors to handheld phones and ultimately the personal cell phones which are commonplace today.

In the early 80's Bloomfield founded a company which invented and pioneered computer-based faxing. If you have ever faxed to or from a computer, you have most likely used these inventions. This patented technology has been incorporated in many well-know products and services and has been used worldwide by millions of people.

In the mid 90's, Bloomfield founded a company which invented and patented technology and methods (U.S. Patents 6,707, 580 and 6,857,007 6,693,729) for delivering fax documents to email addresses. Today, fax-to-email technology as it is known, is the dominating means for delivering fax documents.

From 1996 through 2006, Mr. Bloomfield managed a patent portfolio of his patents and inventions through a patent licensing program. The licensing program was considered innovative and pioneering for its time. Leading industry companies such as AT&T, Avaya, Sprint, MCI, 3Com, Ericcson, Siemens, Cisco, Cingular, Efax, Symantec, as well as many other companies, have taken to licenses to this technology.

IP Investments Holding LLC is the newest enterprise for Mr. Bloomfield. The company has developed a business method for conducting online interactive business over the internet. This method is uniquely different from the traditional methods offered by Ebay and others serving the ecommerce marketplace. The software invention is patent pending and promises to change the way products and services are negotiated and sold over the internet.

The company is currently focused on the real estate marketplace as the initial deployment for its technology, known as N-Play.

I agree with your assessment of the industry, except one. You said: "Maybe it's some tool that none of us can even imagine until we see it unveiled by one of the geniuses in the Silicon Valley-Seattle Tech Corridor." That tool has been unveiled and it came from geniuses on THE OTHER SOUTHERN COAST! To see it yourself being used by one of many "Big Brokerages" to come, go to the very first one @ www.realtyex.com! • Sandra - In business - time

Sandra - In business - time is money. One may choose to use their time more or less effectively or efficiently than others, but either way time is finite. To spend this finite time telling others what they are doing or reading about what others are doing on an hourly basis may work for some, but not for me. (as I said, I may just not get it) Jay, I’m glad you entwittered some clients through it, but in the end, what was your overall ROIT (return on investment in time)? I’m not saying it doesn’t work as a business means for all people for all situations but finding that tweedle in the haystack also takes valuable time. :-)
