I have been in the credit education/restoration industry since 2000. My goal is to help educate consumers on the value of good credit as well as provide resources for clients to improve there current credit situation. I also provide Debt Relief solutions for clients who can no longer afford to pay there credit card debt. All service providers are members of the BBB with outstanding records. In March of 2009 I relocated to South Florida (Boca Raton) from Missouri.

Bernice, Good article but I am beginning to believe that some of your comments are simple intended to stir controversy. The comment regarding the not using the companies that are advertising on radio and TV because they will rip you off is really broad stroking the industry. Obviously you need to be careful who you use but I certainly wouldn't say they all rip you off. I personally am not in the loan mod industry but do refer clients to a local company that assist clients with loan modifications. Their clients for the most part are homeowners that have attempted there own loan mod by contacting their lender and got nowhere. I liken the client contacting there lender for a loan mod similar to contacting the loan shark and asking him to shave a couple of points off because your having a hard time paying him. Fortunately the company I refer clients to does such a good job that the majority of there business is now referral business. Great article and certainly the topic of the hour. I believe that most Real Estate Agents know or should find someone with in there community to refer this type of business to. I personally in my market place have a couple of sources that I know are trustworthy and really have the clients best interest at heart. The funny thing is that the companies I work with (2) the owners and negotiators live in the same community and have gone through or are going through the modification process themselves. They as well have experienced 40 to 50% decrease in home value. Point being they are understanding of how people feel and the fears they have. I think the key is finding a local company that has deep roots in the community. Mark Bustamonte United Credit Education Services Sales Director Field Trainer 573-418-0932 Direct

  • I have mixed feelings. We

I have mixed feelings. We are in sales, PERIOD. Leads are our life blood, whether referrals from past customers, newspaper ads or a good-old lead "CAPTURE" page strategically positioned and highly optimized. I want leads. All leads need to marketed to and followed up on through various marketing campaigns. Drip marketing or news letter marketing is a very good form of buying brain cells as long as you are providing good information – just not to much. Let’s face it if you can build a data base of 5000 leads per month (min) that’s 60K worth of leads to drip market per year. If 2% close that’s 1200 deals per yr. Not bad. Let’s try not to pretend we are something were not. We are professional sales men and women offering great services to clients, how ever they come through the door!
