Bingo Ryan! Should listings be thought of as the Realtors listing or the clients (sellers) listing? What does the seller want? Their listing behind a wall or their listing on as many websites as possible in front of as many buyers as possible? I as a seller have sold 2 properties over the past few years and buyers for both came from non Broker or mls sites. One come from Trulia and the other came from CL. What is best for the seller (client) and what is best for the consumer? Where is the consumer looking?

I could be wrong but it is hard for me to believe that Google doesn't have something else planned here. They are focusing so much on local search results and not implementing real estate into that just doesn't make sense. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if we hear about a Google acquisition of one of the bigger real estate portals very soon. Yep that is exactly the plan. In addition we will be adding a style sheet editor feature that will allow changing the styles behind the classes and IDs.
