Real Relationships. Real Results.

Halstead Property, LLC

Renée Fishman is the 2009 winner of the Real Estate Board of New York’s prestigious Rookie of the Year Award. This honor is given by the industry annually to one agent in all of New York City who has demonstrated an outstanding expertise in all facets of the skills that top brokers require: an ability to originate, analyze, negotiate and close deals, while displaying sound moral character and high ethical behavior, leadership qualities, teamwork skills and significant sales volume. REBNY praised Renée’s excellence in these areas, as well as her innovative use of social media and technology in her real estate business.

Renée is recognized by the real estate community and her clients as a focused, results-oriented professional who understands the art of the deal and guides her clients and customers through the process with a sure hand. Her clients include high-profile business executives, domestic and foreign investors, other real estate professionals and first-time buyers. Whether working on a rental transaction or a multi-million dollar sale, she imbues her real estate practice with the values of integrity, discretion and dedication to her clients and customers.

Renée's focus is always on understanding her clients' outcomes and developing strategies to achieve those results, while empowering her clients to make the best decisions for their needs. This approach, combined with creative problem solving techniques, keen attention to detail, negotiation experience honed through her career as a corporate lawyer, and a dedication to building "real relationships" to get "real results" has earned Renée "raving fans" in the form of both loyal clients and the highest levels of respect from the real estate community.

As a third-generation NYC resident, Renée has been observing and participating in her family's real estate transactions for over 3 decades. Her own apartment purchase and experience as member of her co-op’s board of directors provide Renée with unique insights into the complexities surrounding the purchase and sale of a home, and she draws on these experiences to guide both first-time and seasoned buyers and sellers through the process. In a market where finding an apartment or buyer is often the easiest part of the process, Renée stays actively involved in every stage of the deal to ensure a smooth transaction.

Renée plays an active role in creating and programs to educate NYC's real estate agents as a member of the Education Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York. She is a frequent speaker at REBNY's education seminars and continuing education classes, where she lectures everything from basic brokerage skills to the use of technology and social media in business.

In addition to her vibrant real estate business, Renée also runs a business strategy practice, through which she coaches real estate agents and other entrepreneurs on strategies to develop raving fan clients by leveraging social media, technology and other tools.

Away from the business world, Renée can often be found in the air on the flying trapeze. She also enjoys cooking, photography, Pilates, exploring NYC, travel and adventure, and technology. You can learn more about Renée by watching her video biography at http://j.mp/RMFBIO.

In NYC -- particularly Manhattan -- the 1st time homebuyer tax credit has had little effect on the market because most buyers have incomes that are too high to claim the credit. But, in NYC approximately 70% of the population lives in rental housing, which gives us a large population of would-be 1st time buyers. The reduced prices (from the peak) and low mortgage rates have incentivized many to finally consider buying. Renée M. Fishman, Esq.
