We use Tweetdeck, the Buddyfeed app for iPhone and a lot of Google Alerts to keep tabs on our rep and also what is going on with our competition. Often times we are tipped off about what they are up to before it is official just by following members of their organization or setting up the right alerts.

A thought...Did home values actually decrease 14%? It's been a long time since I have sat in a stats class so humor me a quick moment. The first-time home buyer tax credit is heating up markets such as ours here in Omaha which puts the majority of the buyers in a price range that is less than our typical average sales price for Omaha which in turn lowers the median and mean sale prices. Does this mean that home values across the board are declining or does it just mean that starter homes (less expensive ones) are the most popular at this particular time which in turn skews the numbers? Any help out of my mental cul-da-sac would be greatly appreciated! :)

The Omaha area market is heating up. First-time home buyers are fueling a chain reaction that is allowing others to move up or move on. We had a dismal start to the year and are really seeing improvements in listing and pending sales so far this month. Web activity on www.npdodge.com is through the rough when compared year over year which leads us to believe that there is a lot of pent up demand that is bound to break loose in the coming months.
