I am passing this article on to all of our agents. Our agents are cosntantly being judged against what the consumer believes is good information from the internet. Material like this gives them a way to talk about the accuracy of online products and allow them to show the correct absorption rates.
Great Article. I have been struggling for years to get our sales managers, staff and agents to take the next step forward in evolution. The market downturn actually helped my cause. We finally eliminated company paid print advertising and have invested heavily in a new web platform. We have also gone Ninja as a company. This has greatly helped those who are willing to commit and move down the line. I am still fighting with a decent percentage of my agents who do not "need" to be a full time agent due to a spouses income. They just tread water and take up staff time with over priced listings but we are working on them one by one. Letting them see that the world is changing and the good old days may never come back is a good thing. I have referenced this article in several conversations with them. Thanks again.
We are all capitalists. If you want a certain level of service (including training, BIC support, marketing, administrativie, IT, type of office enviornment, etc.) each agent needs to run their business. I alsways hear the argument that why do I have to pay for something I don't want, you don't. Find a company that works for you.
