Stephen Kowalchuk started working as a researcher at CMA in 1999. He joined the firm after graduating with honors from Rollins College and currently works with well respected clients both domestically and internationally. The son of a senior IBM executive Stephen spent most of his life before college living and going to school in Rome, Paris, and Brussels. His experiences and cultural sensitivity has served him well in placing highly successful executives in positions from London to the Middle East and the Far East. Stephen’s practice is with senior executives in the area of Real Estate, Real Estate Finance and vendors to the Real Estate industry.
Stephen’s research career at CMA lasted two years while he developed an expertise in sourcing senior executives in Mortgage Banking and Investment Banking. He worked as a junior recruiter for a short period of time before becoming an Account Executive. Stephen worked closely with the management teams at CMA client companies to develop the leadership profiles and metrics to help them achieve their short and long term goals.
Stephen was deeply involved in developing a new practice area at CMA that focuses on National Real Estate companies. He also helped develop CMA’s Real Estate Vendor Management practice.
Stephen was an entrepreneur during his college career. He helped pay his way through college working as a musician and turned that talent into a business as an entertainment agent. Taking advantage of the opportunities he placed musical acts with the many entertainment forums on a global basis, including Disney World and Universal Studios. Stephen has also performed at the Hard Rock Café, House of Blues and other notable venues along the east coast.
His professional memberships include Mortgage Bankers Association, Real Estate Service Providers Council Inc. (RESPRO), Society for Human Resources Management and The Employee Relocation Council (ERC).
