Lexie's trend #2 about fake rental ads--this has happened on several of my listings and I feel powerless to combat it. I sympathize with these poor people and I am furious that the legal authorities can't/won't do anything about it. It seems to me that the internet sites that allow this to happen are the ones that need to come up with some sort of gatekeeping software to prevent such fraud. I have known buyers who thought they could time the market and found out that the only loan program they could qualify for vanished, making it impossible for them to buy anything.
