On July 7 I celebrated my 32nd year as active in this wild, crazy, wonderful business. Our market here is still adjusting at the high end, but our average priced homes are selling well (200 - 300,000) to local move up and first time buyers and the mid ranges 300,000 - 500,000 are recovering. Our friends from the Northeast, California and Florda who love to retire here are not in such abundance because of their difficult markets, but with low interest rates and good lenders, we're counting our blessings!

  • Vickie Flowe So true. Local

Vickie Flowe So true. Local Associations of Realtors, State Associations - need to do a better job of gathering and reporting targeted data. One local Realtor here did a tv spot saying something to the effect of "making real estate decisions based on national data is like planning a picnic based on the Weather Channel" All real estate is local - really.

Vickie Flowe Gibson Flowe Properties, LLC Charlotte NC Typical NC real estate politics. With only 8 required CE hours of education; and murky implementation of ANY change. It's no wonder that the big guns - companies with the most agents paying the most money to fees, dues, etc. are finally stepping up and questioning implementation. George Bell you are right on. NCREC and NCAR need to find common ground, and educate THEN legislate.
