If the local MLS does not give the listings to the national interlopers - they will not have them - to use to compete against us. I agree that service and knowledge are key but there is no reason to give away the MLS info to companies who are not directly involved in the local community. I do agree that brokers/agents should not withhold the info from potential customers - I just think the Brokers/agents should be the ones providing the info. They will be the best at putting it in the proper context.
It seems to me that it is just very important for the local MLS to hold the line on not allowing outside entities to have their listings. Only allowing member Brokers to have the listings would help to keep the interlopers out. Wayne Long Columbus GA www.ColumbusHomeShow.com
