Bob, Three great points! I completely agree. So many people think having a bunch of "followers" or "friends" on one of the social networking sites, means business is good. In most cases, I'm willing to bet it is quite the opposite. Getting friends and followers is easy; it's the cultivating thereafter which takes time and patience. From my experience, I have found it more difficult to convert Internet leads as a REALTOR than many other professions. Let's face it, just about everyone knows a REALTOR, now you're going to convince someone who has never physically met you, to become your client over someone they already know? Mortgage lenders and title reps on the other hand, have a reasonably higher conversation rate when social networking with REALTOR’s online. Most importantly, know your audience.
