What's the best way to get the word out about my two new innovative real estate products?
By Bob Visotcky, Thursday, August 28, 2008.I am a Realtor and inventor of the LISTINGLIGHT, a night light for real estate signs and LISTINGLOCKS, a locking system for the signs to the post. LISTINGLIGHT gives an agent up to 150 extra hors of exposure every month and with Standard Time vastly approaching it will be dark at 5p.m. and people searching for properties after work have a hard time spotting new or existing listings. Our website is loaded with testimonials from agents all over the world but we need a better way to reach realtors and let them know where we are?

I am not sure the best way to get the information out. However, I do have the ListingLight and like it.

I have never heard of ListingLight but it sounds like another good tool since next to browsing the Internet people tend to drive around neighborhoods they want to live in. By way of suggestion, you might try advertising in Inman News, Broker-Agent News and at local Boards. You don't say where you are located.

Well, by posting here you are doing it already, I guess.. I do not believe ther is a single best way to get the word out, I'd suggest:
-- website promotion
-- direct mail campaign to relators with coupons
-- email campaigns
-- web postings everywhere
-- advertising in realtor's press
-- etc...

If you don't already have a blog, go to www.wordpress.com or another service and create one. I say wordpress because I know that you can add this to your linkedin profile that I see you have.
I also noticed that you are not a member of any groups on linkedin. You can join up to 50 groups. There are many real estate groups on linkedin where you can contribute to the discussion or market your product. However, make sure you read the rules of the group. Many will kick you out if they feel like you are only advertising your product, so tread lightly. Feel free to connect with me if you like and you can take a look at some of the groups that I joined. You can also find niche city specific blogs and communities. I run ones for the major cities in Texas that allow agents and brokers to post blogs, answer questions, etc. Its a great way to get the word out since we rank on the first page for numerous of the high traffic terms.
