Aidan Rogers

CTO, Point2 Technologies

Aidan leads Point2’s Systems and Technology Development across the company’s business divisions, and provides guidance on evolving standards and protocols. He also spearheads Point2’s involvement on industry standards issues and committees. Aidan brings to Point2 twelve years of experience in technology development, project management and high impact initiative implementation at major corporations around the world including Citigroup, Sony and Johnson & Johnson.

Aidan began his career with Sendit.com, in 1997. He moved to Inktomi Corporation in 1999, where he held a number of positions in London, Boston and then as team lead, San Francisco. In 2003, Aidan joined Edumate in Australia, where he ran development of web-based solutions deploying new techniques that today are standard web 2.0.

Between 2004 and 2006, Aidan’s Agile Development and Project Management Practices consultancy headed key assignments for a number of startups and fast growing technology companies that included Calgary-based Cambrian House and ThoughtWorks in Chicago. Working out of ThoughtWorks’ London operations centre, Aidan led and managed the ThoughtWorks team to migrate a central function for insurance giant Progressive Auto Insurance, out of legacy systems and into the company’s web-based environment. At CustomWare in Sydney, Australia, he led high profile initiatives guiding the company’s consulting team in web and integration initiatives for multinational corporations including Sony and Johnson & Johnson. From 2007 to 2008, Aidan led a Citigroup multi-million market data platform development and roll-out program, prior to joining Point2 in 2008 where he has been instrumental to further advancing the company’s high productivity Agile development processes and environment.
