Chris Meyers

COO, Houlihan Lawrence

 

As the COO of Houlihan Lawrence, Chris Meyers oversees the day-to-day operations of the company's 25 offices and 1,200 real estate agents.  During the seven years that Mr. Meyers has lead the company, Houlihan Lawrence has become the largest independently owned and operated residential real estate brokerage serving the Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess County markets in New York with over 30 percent market share.

Mr. Meyers previously worked at McKinsey & Co. in Boston, where he consulted Fortune 500 companies on technology and growth strategy.  Mr. Meyers was initially brought into Houlihan Lawrence for a six-week consulting project in 2002 by his brother, Stephen Meyers, and sister, Nancy Seaman.  During his time at the residential firm, Mr. Meyers was deeply impressed by the talented team of agents and developed a passion for real estate.  With a strong desire to work with family, Mr. Meyers joined Houlihan Lawrence as COO in 2003.

Leading the company's next generation of marketing strategies, Mr. Meyers is successfully integrating digital and social media strategy into Houlihan Lawrence's services.  Inspired by providing customers with accurate market information and creating deeper connections between the Houlihan Lawrence team and clients, Mr. Meyers is the driving force behind the company's blog, Web site redesign and social media program. 

As Mr. Meyers believes in fostering community both online and offline, Houlihan Lawrence contributes annually to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, March of Dimes, as well as sponsoring and participating in dozens of local community organizations and educational programs.

Mr. Meyers holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in economics from Yale University.  He is a Westchester County Association board member and 2008 Preservation honoree by the Jay Heritage Center in Rye.  He lives with his wife Kerry and three children and enjoys golfing and skiing.
