Pete’s inspiration for Trulia came from the challenges he faced during his own home research online, after which he committed to build an intuitive online search tool to help fellow home buyers locate and make sense of the vast amount of real estate information on the Web, combined with a business model that made sense for brokers and agents. Pete previously spent 5 years as a founding team member and Head of Global Business Development at lastminute.com. He was key member of the team that built Europe's largest online travel company with over 2000 employees, over $1bn transactions and operations in 12 countries. lastminute.com was acquired in May 2005 by Travelocity (Sabre Holdings) for $1.1bn in cash.
