Overnight mortgage rates hold steady
30-year fixed unchanged at 5.07%; 10-year Treasury up at 3.76%

Long-term mortgage interest rates were mostly flat Friday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield inched higher to 3.76 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average remained at 5.07 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate rose slightly to 4.39 percent. The 1-year adjustable sank to 2.93 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield climbed to 4.71 percent.
Rates are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 111.7 points, or 1.1 percent, finishing at 10,240.08. The Nasdaq was down 40.84 points, or 2.1 percent, closing at 1,984.73.
