Mortgage rates flat
30-year fixed unchanged at 5.69%; 10-year Treasury down at 4.43%

Long-term mortgage interest rates remained the same Monday, and the benchmark 10-year Treasury bond yield slipped to 4.43 percent.
The 30-year fixed-rate average was unchanged at 5.69 percent, and the 15-year fixed-rate was slightly higher at 5.02 percent. The 1-year adjustable remained at 3.18 percent.
The 30-year Treasury bond yield decreased to 5.23 percent.
Rates are current as of 7:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Mortgage rate figures are according to Bankrate.com, which publishes nightly averages based on its survey of 4,000 banks in 50 states. Points on these mortgages range from zero to 3.5.
In other economic news, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 28.11 points, or 0.27 percent, finishing at 10,444.73. The Nasdaq was down 13 points, or 0.63 percent, closing at 2,036.77.
