Boston University leases lab space

The Trustees of Boston University and Boston University Medical Center have leased 53,000 and 43,000 square feet, respectively, in a 160,000-square-foot laboratory facility at BioSquare in Boston.

The total value of the transactions was not disclosed.

The eight-story building, located at 670 Albany St., was 60 percent leased with the closing of these transactions.

670 Albany St. is being constructed on a 42,000-square-foot site on BioSquare's 14-acre campus. The building is scheduled for completion in 2005. It will be built concurrently with a 1,400-car, aboveground parking garage.
