Stewart acquires Montana title co.

Stewart Title Co. has acquired Security Title of Billings, Mont., the company announced today.

Existing key management and staff have remained with the company. Paul McCann is the general manger and Jan Hansen is the escrow manager.

Security Title opened its doors 12 years ago and has grown to be Billings' largest title agency.

Stewart's last two acquisitions were in California – Santa Cruz Title Co. in Santa Cruz and California Land Title of Marin (Cal Land) in San Rafael.

Stewart Title Co. is a subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp. that provides title insurance and related information services through more than 7,400 U.S. locations and several international markets.
