French food co. buys headquarters

Jim Benson of Colwell Banker Commercial-North County Properties represented Jacques Gourmet in the purchase of the 66,718-square-foot Edmiston Family Trust building in San Marcos, Calif.

Located at 1709 La Costa Meadows Drive, the building sold for a total consideration of $4.4 million.

Jacques Gourmet was given the option to purchase during a five-year lease and has utilized the space as its corporate headquarters and as a food processing plant for Champagne French Bakery Café since 2001. Barry Handler and Don Grant of Business Real Estate represented Edmiston Family Trust in this sale.
