Multifamily REIT gains Texas complex
240 upscale apartments included in deal

Mid-America Apartment Communities acquired the Watermark apartment community located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth submarket of Roanoke, Texas.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
The 240-unit property was built in 2002 and consists of one- and two-bedroom upscale apartment homes with 9-foot ceilings, kitchen gourmet island countertops and built-in computer workstations. The community also features a private lake with cascading fountains.
MAA is a self-administered, self-managed apartment-only real estate investment trust.
