CarrAmerica expands in Silicon Valley
Picks up R&D space

CarrAmerica Realty Corp. acquired two class-A research and development facilities totaling 176,280 square feet in North San Jose, Calif.
The total value of the transactions was $25.8 million.
Completed in 1999, the two- and three-story buildings were 100 percent leased at the time of sale. They are located in the "Golden Triangle," the core area of Silicon Valley bounded by Highways 237, 101 and 880.
Agere Systems holds the lease on 250 Holger Way, and Redback Networks occupies 300 Holger Way.
CarrAmerica will also assume the management and future leasing of 250 and 300 Holger Way.
CarrAmerica owns, develops and operates office properties in 13 markets throughout the United States.
