Walden Hills deal closes in Georgia

Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of the Walden Hills apartment community in Augusta, Ga.

The value of the transaction was approximately $13.9 million.

Built in 2000, Walden Hills is a 200-unit garden-style apartment community situated on 16.8 acres. The property, located at 1035 Alexander Drive, comprises 220,984 rentable square feet and includes studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Community amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center, swimming pool, tennis court, spa and gated access.

Macon, Ga.-based Hathaway Development Co. sold the property through a 1031 exchange by Chicago-based Fifield Co.

Encino, Calif.-based Marcus & Millichap is a commercial real estate brokerage.
