Countrywide continues nationwide expansion
Co. will open two Pennsylvania financial centers

Countrywide Bank announced today it is continuing its national expansion with the opening of two new financial centers in the Pittsburgh, Pa., area.
The new financial centers follow the opening of centers in the Philadelphia area.
Countrywide Bank is a member of the Countrywide Financial Corp. family of companies, which includes Countrywide Home Loans. Countrywide, through its family of companies, offers consumers diverse products, including CDs, money market and retirement accounts, as well as home loans and investment and insurance products.
Countrywide Financial Corp. on Thursday reported net earnings of $700 million for the second quarter of 2004, an increase of 83 percent over net earnings of $383 million in the second quarter of 2003.
Recent news reports have said Countrywide is the expected buyer of Cendant's mortgage business. Cendant announced Tuesday that it is in talks with a potential buyer for its mortgage business, but did not reveal its name.
