Mortgage technology provider Ellie Mae's latest system enhancement will provide a streamlined connection to mortgage giant Freddie Mac's Loan Prospector automated underwriting system.
The connection, through Ellie Mae's ePASS Web transaction platform, will provide lenders two-way functionality between Loan Prospector and the originator's desktop. It will eliminate the need for file exports, redundant data entry and entering data outside of the loan origination system.
Mortgage originators will now be able to request and receive a Loan Prospector assessment in as little as two mouse clicks, while keeping the data in their loan origination system in sync with the information provided to Loan Prospector.
ePASS connects more than 30,000 mortgage origination companies with their lenders and settlement service providers directly from the major desktop loan origination software, including Encompass, Contour, Genesis, Point, Harland, Byte, and PipeLine.
