Sports equipment supplier lands headquarters

Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial facilitated a long-term lease agreement for sports equipment company K2 Inc. to occupy a mixed-use building in Carlsbad, Calif.

The value of the transaction was $13 million.

K2 Inc. will occupy the 76,693-square-foot office/R&D building, located at 5818 El Camino Real, for 132 months. The property will serve as the company's new corporate headquarters.

H.G. Fenton Co. is the property landlord.

K2 Inc. is a premier, branded consumer products company whose products are used primarily for team and individual sports activities such as baseball, softball, fishing, paintball, watersports activities, alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, in-line skating and mountain biking.
