By Inman News, Monday, January 24, 2005.Sam Park & Company, in a joint venture with Distribution Services of America, has acquired a 410,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution center in Foxboro, Mass.
The joint venture, called 208 North Street LLC, acquired the property for an undisclosed price.
Located just north of the new Gillette Patriots Stadium, the property is a two-building complex that fronts Route 1 and is easily accessible from Route 95 and Route 495. The property is situated on 26 acres of land and is served by rail and 80 truck docks.
Sam Park & Company, a real estate advisory firm, was originally hired by DSA, a third-party logistics company providing warehousing, transportation and distribution services, to reposition and manage a redevelopment of the property. This role evolved into co-owner and managing partner of the new venture. DSA owned the property and ran its business there for 30 years, and wanted to streamline operations and modernize its space at the property.
