Georgia, Kentucky Realtors lock deals with SentriLock
Lockboxes offer advanced data-gathering features
By Inman News, Tuesday, January 4, 2005.The Southeast Georgia and Somerset-Lake Cumberland Kentucky Boards of Realtors became the first in their respective states to contract with SentriLock for Realtor Lockboxes, the National Association of Realtors announced today.
The Southeast Georgia BOR has nearly 100 members and affiliates, and Somerset-Lake Cumberland, Ky., has nearly 200. Neither group had a consistent lockbox platform across its membership.
"We knew we wanted a smart box, something with advanced tracking and reporting capabilities," said George T. Fesperman III, president, Southeast Georgia BOR. "A Realtor's role comes down to accountability – to the seller and to each other. SentriLock offered a dynamic program that is completely flexible to the individual Realtor's needs."
Realtor Lockboxes are sold through Realtor associations and MLSs under contract with SentriLock. Associations and MLSs. The National Association of Realtors is a majority owner in SentriLock.
