Real estate group sells Staples shopping center
Major retailers among tenants
By Inman News, Thursday, July 28, 2005.Urstadt Biddle Properties Inc. recently purchased Staples Plaza Shopping Center in Yorktown Heights, N.Y.
The value of the transaction was $28.4 million.
The property, which contains 201,000 square feet of leaseable space, was purchased from a private real estate group.
At the time of sale, Staples Plaza was 97 percent leased and shadow anchored by a 107,000-square-foot BJ's Wholesale Club. The center's tenant roster consists of national and regional retailers including Staples, Bed Bath & Beyond, Party City, Dunkin Donuts and A.C. Moore.
The property, which is situated on 16.4 acres of land, was built in stages during the 1970s.
UBP owns 34 properties located predominately in Westchester & Fairfield countries, containing approximately 3.7 million square feet of space.
