Real estate tech company ramps up MLS product

The Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois has implemented a new method of inputting and changing property listing information, an MLS technology company announced today.

DynaConnections, an Austin, Texas, company that builds Web-based MLS tools, announced that MLSNI is using new functions through the company's connectMLS product.

This "is the first step in MLSNI's five-part process towards a single system for every step of the real estate process, utilizing the latest release of connectMLS along with several features customized for MLSNI. Early reviews are positive, as connectMLS handled over 1,200 new listings added on the first day, as well as demonstrated the power to handle almost 6,000 simultaneous users, of which over 4,000 were Realtor subscribers," dynaConnections reported.

MLSNI subscribers began using connectMLS in 2003, and the new functions allow users to add and change property listings through connectMLS directly rather than using another product.

Lynn Strantz, manager of system design and integration for MLSNI, said in a statement, "Our goal was to make the task of inputting or changing listing data easier and flow logically for our market. We also wanted to provide as much assistance for the users as possible within the system." The technology features drop-down menus, the ability for the user to upload property photos and tours, and live multimedia tutorials.
