Developer gains massive space in Mississippi
Site formerly used to build ships
By Inman News, Wednesday, December 7, 2005.Binswanger arranged the recent lease/purchase of a 472,219-square-foot industrial facility on 100 acres in Gulfport, Miss.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
The lessor, VT Halter Marine, has specialized in ship building, conversion and repair for more than 50 years. It has provided more than 2,900 ships to both private and government clients on five continents.
Maritime Development Center LLC was the lessee/purchaser.
The facility features ceiling heights to 50 feet, and is fully sprinklered and rail served by Mid-South Rail Corp.
Philadelphia-based Binswanger is a full-service real estate organization operating worldwide.
