Virginia office campus goes for $52 million
Property totals three buildings
By Inman News, Friday, February 3, 2006.BPG Investment Partnership VII bought a three-building office campus in Reston, Virginia for $51.9 million, the company said.
The Campus at Sunrise, a Class A office campus totaling 253,819 square feet, formerly known as Sunrise Corporate Center, is located just off of the Wiehle exit of the Dulles Toll Road on Sunrise Valley Drive.
The purchase was made on behalf of BPG Investment Partnership VII, L.P., a fully discretionary private equity fund with total equity commitments of $550 million.
The Campus at Sunrise has three buildings, one of which is a four-story, 78,648-square-foot office building with prominent Dulles Toll Road visibility and signage opportunities. Next to that building is a three-story, 108,157-square-foot office building with a café, conference facilities and a data center.
"The Campus at Sunrise is a strong addition to our growing Northern Virginia portfolio. The property offers a distinct corporate campus with an ideal location and excellent visibility along the Dulles Toll Road," said Roy Perry, Senior Vice President of BPG, who along with George Haines, Project Executive of BPG, directed the acquisition.
