Newspaper site partners with online real estate service
USAToday.com pairs with HomeGain to offer home-buying and selling services
By Inman News, Tuesday, March 7, 2006.HomeGain, an online source for connecting real estate agents with home buyers and sellers, has partnered with USAToday.com to provide consumers with online real estate services, the companies announced this week.
Effective immediately, consumers can begin their search in USAToday.com's real estate classifieds section, realestate.usatoday.com, to find and compare local Realtors.
Through USAToday.com, prospective home buyers and sellers can choose a real estate agent by requesting customized proposals from Realtors at local brand-name brokerages, then comparing Realtors by experience, neighborhood knowledge, and other characteristics. Buyers and sellers also can find the value of a home and view homes for sale online.
USAToday.com is owned by Gannett Co., Inc.
HomeGain operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Classified Ventures, which acquired the company in July 2005. Classified Ventures is a joint venture among six major media companies, including Belo Corp., Gannett Co., Knight-Ridder, McClatchy Newspapers, Tribune Company, and The Washington Post Co.
