Onyx Equities grows office portfolio in New Jersey

Onyx Equities LLC has acquired the office property known as Glen Rock Plaza in Glen Rock, N.J.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

The 60,000-square-foot, three-story office building is located at 266 Harristown Road.

"We have begun implementing a significant capital improvement program at the building, and we plan to market the available space not only to traditional office users, but also to medical users, an industry sector that is currently underserved in this area," said Michael K. Nevins, Onyx's vice president of asset management. "With a new facade, upgraded lobbies and common areas, and new landscaping, Glen Rock Plaza will offer prospective tenants an outstanding work environment in a highly accessible location."

At the time of sale, the property was occupied by Spinato, November, Conte & LaRocca, BGA Engineering, Northwestern Mutual, and The Goldstein Group.

Woodbridge, N.J.-based Onyx Equities LLC focuses on office, retail and industrial properties located in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
