Rapattoni revamps mobile MLS service
Agents can search property listings in real time on handheld devices
By Inman News, Friday, March 17, 2006.Rapattoni Corp. has redesigned its service for mobile MLS users, giving agents mobile access to real-time multiple listing service property data from the field, the company said Thursday.
The service is being installed for all Rapattoni MLS customers as part of the latest MLS software release, at no increase in cost, the company said.
The new interface lets agents use a mobile PDA to search listings, view property information and pictures, locate a listing on a map, access their clients' contact information, and look for new matches for their clients' saved auto-prospecting searches, among other things.
The service works with most PDA models that have an HTML-compliant browser.
Real estate agents are depending more and more on mobile technology, and it's easy to see why. Mobile devices enable agents to take and make phone calls on the run, respond to leads while they're out in the field, pull up home listings data while driving clients around, and store reams of information.
Simi Valley, Calif.-based Rapattoni Corp. provides products and services for real estate associations and MLS organizations, including Internet MLS systems, association management software, and Secure Logon for multiple listing, transaction management and Internet member services.
