Lanelco sells toilet-seat factory
Georgia facility purchased by food packaging co.
By Inman News, Friday, June 23, 2006.Binswanger on Wednesday announced the sale of a 225,750-square-foot industrial building located on 13 acres in the Shenandoah Industrial Park in Newnan, Ga.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
The property features ceiling heights to 24 feet, 20,590 square feet of office space, 12 tailgate doors, a 10-ton bride crane, and is served by CSX rail.
Lanelco, which formerly used the site for the manufacture of plastic and wooden toilet seats, sold the property to North Bergen, N.J.-based WY Industries, a producer of durable food containers, utensils and condiments.
It is anticipated that more than 200 jobs will be created at this site within the next two years, according to a press statement.
In addition, plastic resin silos and process cooling equipment were included in the sale and will be used by WY Industries in its production.
