Los Angeles Newspaper Group launches real estate platform
SoCalHomeSite.com features new homes, broker listings, rentals
By Inman News, Tuesday, July 18, 2006.The Indigio Group announced this week the launch of its online real estate platform by The Los Angeles Newspaper Group at SoCalHomeSite.com.
The new site gives the company an online channel for The Los Angeles Daily News, Press Telegram of Long Beach, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, San Bernardino Sun, Redlands Daily Facts, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Pasadena Star-News and the Whittier Daily News, along with la.com and impactousa.com.
The new real estate search platform features integrated searches for new homes, broker listings, commercial property, classified listings and rental listings. Users can save custom searches and receive e-mail notifications as listings change.
The new site will also feature a number of tools designed to help real estate brokers better target their advertising and marketing efforts.
Many newspapers have struggled to offer a comprehensive online channel for real estate classifieds as the Internet poses a threat to more traditional forms of print advertising.
The Indigio Group works with newspapers to create Internet channels. The Indigio Real Estate Platform is currently in use by a number of newspaper companies including The Denver Newspaper Agency and The Salt lake City Tribune and Deseret News.
