Partnership eliminates multiple security devices
Clareity Security aligns with GE Security
By Inman News, Thursday, September 14, 2006.Two leaders in real estate security technology have aligned to integrate lockbox device and multiple listing service passwords.
Clareity Security LLC and GE Security have formed a partnership in which Clareity's SafeMLS product will be fully integrated with GE Security's electronic keybox system.
Clareity Security provides data protection products and services to the real estate industry. The integration will allow Clareity's SafeMLS passwords to be delivered to the Supra eKey and DisplayKey devices used on homes listed for sale.
GE Security is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric Co.
The integration also means that real estate professionals can consolidate the number of hardware devices required to access MLSs and properties for showings. SafeMLS helps protect against unauthorized access to sensitive customer information and abuse of MLS systems by requiring one-time passwords for login and an authentication device, such as a key-chain-sized token. SafeMLS users now will be able to use GE's lockbox key devices to obtain one-time passwords for MLS access.
Integration and initial testing between the security systems has already been completed, the companies said, and a pilot is planned for an existing SafeMLS market.
