Meadowbrook Meat dumps distribution center

Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler negotiated the sale of a 106,900-square-foot industrial facility in Des Plaines, Ill.

The value of the transaction was more than $5 million.

MBM Food Service, also known as Meadowbrook Meat, which provides food to major restaurant chains, sold the property to Sitex Realty Group, a real estate investment company operating in the Chicagoland area.

Built in 1970, the property, located at 1794 S. Winthrop Drive, features eight exterior docks, two drive-in doors, 22-foot clear ceiling height, and parking for 40 trailers. The facility also has 13,500 square feet of freezer space, 4,500 square feet of cooler space, and 4,500 square feet of chilled docks.
