Furniture seller lands Gulf Coast digs

Transwestern today announced that furniture retailer RoomStore Inc. has leased 275,600 square feet of warehouse space in Houston, Texas.

The facility, located at 11711 Clay Road in Claymoore Business Park, will serve as the company's distribution center for the greater Houston area and Gulf Coast region.

According to John Brooks, vice president and real estate director for RoomStore, the Clay Road location "provides a strategic location in the heart of Houston's dynamic growth area, outstanding access to Beltway 8, the ability to expand operations in the park, and allows us to better serve our growing customer base."

Built in 1999 on 40 acres, 11711 Clay Road is owned by Claymoore Northwest Inc.
