PropertyInfo to offer Web-based title searches
Advanced Title Search taps public, private records
By Inman News, Friday, January 19, 2007.Title agents will be able to use a Web-based search engine that taps into public and private data sources for title searches as the result of PropertyInfo Corp.'s acquisition of a proprietary technology already in use at the county government level.
PropertyInfo announced Thursday that it plans to offer Advanced Title Search, a title search application developed by CST Title Abstractors LLC, to clients through its real estate information portal, PropertyInfo.com.
Advanced Title Search will provide title agents a Web-based, automated search tool that creates a consolidated property Title Search Report (TSR) from various public and private databases using rules-based search analysis technology.
The electronic title search package includes a data file that's importable to existing title order management systems, such as Stewart Title's AIM application or Fidelity National Financial's SoftPro. PropertyInfo is a subsidiary of Stewart Information Services Corp.
PropertyInfo President and Chief Executive Officer Pat Vaden said Advanced Title Search fits in well with the company's strategy to reduce title-search costs and fully integrate the title-search process.
