TMG Partners buys SOMA Square in San Francisco
Mixed-use project sells for $46 million
By Inman News, Thursday, February 22, 2007.TMG Partners, a San Francisco-based investment group, purchased SOMA Square, a 300,711-square-foot mixed-use project in San Francisco for $46 million, according to an announcement from Grubb & Ellis Co.
Los Angeles-based IRP Yerba Buena Associates, LLC sold SOMA Square, which was fully leased to two tenants at the time of sale.
SOMA Square consists of two buildings. Burlington Coat Factory occupies a three-story, 147,571-square-foot structure at 899 Howard St. The California Academy of Sciences leases the four-story, 153,140-square-foot building at 875 Howard St.
Built in 1920 and 1946, respectively, 899 Howard and 875 Howard underwent full renovations in 2000.
Edward Suharski and Dan Cressman of Grubb & Ellis' San Francisco office represented the seller in the transaction. The buyer represented itself.
