Indiana luxury apartments find buyer
Site features numerous amenities
By Inman News, Thursday, March 29, 2007.The Fields, a 285-unit luxury multifamily community in Bloomington, Ind., has sold for $34 million.
A partnership sponsored by Abodes, a Bloomington-based developer of residential and commercial real estate, sold the property to Inland American Real Estate Trust Inc.
Apartment homes at The Fields, located at 1333 Fenbrook Lane, range from one- to four-bedroom floor plans and average 1,131 square feet each. Amenities include both lap and resort-style pools, two fitness centers, a business center, a laundry facility, a car wash station, and 10 acres of ponds, jogging trails and picnic areas.
At the time of sale, the property was 98 percent occupied.
As of Jan. 1, Inland's portfolio consisted of wholly owned and joint-venture interests in 93 properties, for a total of approximately 14.4 million square feet located in 23 states.
