$108 million Illinois industrial deal
Majority of space located near Chicago O'Hare
By Inman News, Thursday, April 12, 2007.Unidentified private investment groups recently sold a portfolio of 23 Chicago-area industrial properties for $108 million.
The properties, which total approximately 2 million square feet, comprise: a number of smaller buildings at Irving and Mannheim Roads in Schiller Park, Ill.; a fully leased, 377,000-square-foot, multitenant facility located at Arthur and Lively Boulevards in Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and a 309,000-square-foot, single-tenant distribution facility at 2401-2501 Lunt Ave. in Elk Grove Village.
A subsidiary of KTR Capital Partners, a real estate investment fund out of New York, purchased the portfolio, which was more than 90 percent leased at the time of the transaction. Most of the properties are located within 5 miles of O'Hare International Airport.
